The Benzon Symposia are international conferences on front line research in medical, pharmaceutical, and related sciences funded by the Alfred Benzon Foundation.
The concept of the 65th Benzon Symposium on Targeting Breast and Ovarian Cancers: From Basic Research to Novel Treatment Strategies is to bring together the world’s leading scientists to advance translational breast and ovarian cancer (BOC) research. We aim to create an intense and interactive environment for both young and experienced scientists. The 65th Benzon Symposium will cover leading scientists in basic, pre-clinical, and clinical BOC research. The main purpose is to advance research on the identification and exploitation of novel molecular targets and concepts that ultimately will improve clinical management of breast and ovarian cancer.
The titles of the sessions are:
Genetic profiling of breast and ovarian cancers: gene signatures and pathogenic alleles
Synthetic lethal approaches for the treatment of breast and ovarian cancers
Targeting Replication Stress in breast and ovarian cancers
Preclinical models for human BOC
Clinical trials in breast and ovarian cancers – the current and future landscape
Symposium No. 65 will feature state-of-the art lectures by 24 world-leading scientists and many others who have made groundbreaking contributions to the understanding of breast and ovarian cancer. The Benzon Symposium will further include posters and oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts. Attendance will be limited to 150 scientific participants totally all accommodated at the Hotel Skt. Petri (https://www.sktpetri.com/) located in the center of Copenhagen (Denmark) for the entire event.
