Benzon Symposium no. 69 – Protein structure prediction and design in biology and pharmacology

Radisson Collection Hotel, Copenhagen, September 1-4, 2025

Organizers: Kresten Lindorff-Larsen, Birthe B. Kragelund, Joseph M. Rogers, Amelie Stein,
Anders Krogh, Wouter Boomsma and Hanne Mørck Nielsen

The idea of the 69th Benzon Symposium is to bring together the world’s leading scientist within protein structure prediction, design and machine learning for biology and create an intense and interactive environment for both young and experienced scientists. The 69th Benzon Symposium will thus both cover development of methods and applications of structure prediction and design in the biosciences.

The Symposium will be a four-day scientific meeting, Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:30. The format will be a combination of state-of-the-art lectures by invited speakers, selected oral-poster presentations and poster sessions from younger researchers selected from submitted abstracts. Attendance will be limited to 100 scientific participants in total. The venue will be Radisson Collection Hotel (https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/), beautifully located in the heart of the Copenhagen for the entire event.

Tentative titles of the sessions are:

Protein design—methods

Protein design—applications

Protein structure prediction

Machine learning methods in protein science

Designing protein materials and intrinsically disordered proteins

Understanding and predicting effects of sequence variation

Visualizing protein structures
